Senegal chief Kalidou Koulibaly wore a unique armband in memory of previous global Daddy Bouba Diop, who passed on precisely a long time back, in a game against Ecuador at the World Cup on Tuesday.
Diop, who kicked the bucket at 42 years old, scored the objective that assisted Senegal with beating France 1-0 in the initial round of the 2022 World Cup, where the African side arrived at the quarterfinal.
Koulibaly’s armband has “19” on it – Diop’s shirt number with Senegal.
With three objectives, Diop, who won 62 covers, is Senegal’s top scorer in World Cup finals.
